Personal Childhood Web

My family moved away from our extended family when I was a pre-teen to a place (Florida) where we had no family.  Therefore we had to rely on each other until we could establish connections in the community through our schools, church and extracurricular activities. My immediate family was the primary source of influence in my life and specifically, my parents.  I never went to a daycare or had babysitters as a child and I’m too old to remember my early elementary days!!

There are so many others who influenced my life until we moved, but unfortunately, I do not have enough space for all of their pics so I will name them:
  • My Grandmother (maternal)-was always gentle, kind and had words of comfort and encouragement.
  • Grandfather-(paternal)-a man of few words but when he spoke, it was profound.
  • Aunt-funny and cracked jokes all the time.  Told me to always have a sense of humor.
  • Cousin-taught me how to style my hair and through her I realized how much I loved it and later got my license in Cosmetology.
